About Us
Red Beak Productions is committed to providing high quality live theatre with original scripts and innovative styles of performance. We will tailor our productions to fit any venue, any style, and any time period imaginable.

We are proud to be running the Street Interpretation contract in Barkerville. We will increase both the level and scope of Interpretation, and ensure that Barkerville becomes the top rated Interpretive site in Canada.

Why Red Beak?
For two reasons. The Raven is a Trickster image (you'll see his foot prints up there). Tricksters often take ordinary circumstances or things and make them extraordinary... something we also strive to do. It is also a tribute to the red nose (or beak) used in clowning.

Reviews on Barkerville (pasted from Tripadvisor.com)

Visiting Barkerville was a hit with my wife, our 8-year old, our 2-year old, and me. First we took the guided tour of the town. The guide leads visitors around the town and speaks with three different staff members dressed in period costume. They assume personas of the type of people who would have lived in Barkerville during the gold rush. They perform their roles with humor and verve

“A wonderful way to spend a day”

Barkerville is up there with Plimoth (Plymouth) Plantation as a remarkable

working settlement. We arrived on a soggy cold day but the experience we had was a true delight. The actors about town in period dress and the costumed shop keepers take you back to the Gold Rush days.

Barkerville was the standout for the whole trip. We hope to visit it again. Kudos to the many dedicated people who have worked so hard to make Barkerville what it is today.
