Artistic Director: Mark Dawson
Mark has been a theatre professional for almost 20 years, specializing in Theatre for Young Audiences and Interpretation.
He also works as a contractor to
Trickster Theatre, Alberta`s largest, most well known and sought after in-school performance based residency program. Scenework, Shadow and Blacklight styles. He has been with Trickster for over a decade and is also their Technical Director.
With over 15 years of experience in Barkerville, he brings that knowledge and something new to `what works`at Barkerville.
He has created and toured several shows:

He has taught courses for the GATE (Gifted And Talented Education) program in Arcata California, Mask for Rosebud College, and Clown for the Calgary High School Drama Festival
He also teaches basic and advanced acting with a physical background, 'Self Propelled Theatre': a workshop on creating theatre, Mask making and Mask performance workshops.
He has a fondness for puppetry which he performs irregularly at caberets to enthusiastic crowds, and hopes to soon launch a full scale touring puppet show.
